The Hotel and Entertainment team within P&O Cruises is made up of a number of different departments, each delivering a fantastic service thanks to the dedicated and skilled staff that we have on board. Your previous skills and experience will help us decide which area you may be best suited to. We generally recruit at entry level as we aim to promote from within and the opportunities to progress your career are endless and rewarding.

The Pursers department covers a number of areas onboard. This includes our Accommodation department, working tirelessly to ensure that our numerous Suites and State rooms are maintained to the highest possible standards. Our friendly Front of House teams ensure that the Reception desk is manned 24/7. This gives our guests peace of mind knowing that we are available to answer their questions at any time. We also have our finance & auditing team who work with financial systems and multiple currencies to provide a comprehensive service to our guests. In addition to the services we offer to our guests, our crew are our internal customers and are afforded the same standard of service at our designated ‘Crew Office’, where we look after all the administrative needs of the Ship’s company.
Other areas working within the Pursers department is our Shore Excursions team. As our ships visit 225 destinations in 90 countries, we need a dedicated team working to ensure that we provide a Shore Excursion in different ports to meet the needs of all our guests.
There are numerous dining options available on board the P&O Cruises fleet, from formal dining rooms, fine dine restaurants created by celebrity chefs and restaurateurs, food courts, tapas bars and pizzerias. All our super liners have a diverse choice of bars and lounges, each with their own unique atmosphere and often a unique selection of drinks. Whether it’s a pre-dinner drink, a drink after a wonderful meal or just a drink with friends we aim to give our guests everything they could require.
Entertainment on board is diverse, fun and exciting. P & O Cruises presents an exciting range of venues and entertainment:
- Cocktail bars, Nightclubs and Casinos Live bands, dramatic musicals and deck parties
- Cabarets singers, comedians and speciality acts
- Classical recitals and concerts
- Quizzes and panel games to play, with prizes to be won
- Special theme evenings including tropical, 60’s & 70’s or Black and White Ball themes
- Cinemas and games rooms
In addition to all of this we have amazing west end style theatres offering some of the most lavish and spectacular shows at sea.
We cater for the whole family on most of P&O Cruises ships and that is why, for example, we created “The Reef “ an exciting on board programme for 2 – 17 year olds. Split into four age groups, there are a whole host of exciting activities organised daily, to ensure that children of all ages have the chance to make friends.
