2nd Deck Officer

Job Description:

1.  The Second Officer will be a Bridge watchkeeper as required by BTCC.

2.  The Second Officer will be responsible for:

2.1 Deck Department overtime and ILO records.

2.2 The Port Information File and database;

2.3 Understudies and assists Senior Second Officer as required.

3.    Additional duties as required by the Bridge Manager and/or Staff Captain.

4. Socialises and mixes with guests in a courteous manner as required

Job Requirements:

British Chief Mate Certificate or Eligibility to be issued with a Certificate of Equivalent Competency by the UK MCA.
Valid ENG1 Medical Certification.
Eligible for issue of a United States C1D/Visa.
Excellent command of English language, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of modern navigation equipment, ideally onboard cruise liners.
Good IT skills, and ability to manipulate modern Windows based packages.
Ability to work as part of a large team, and take responsibility for own actions
Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with both internal and external customers
